Voices and Producers

I can now confirm that the Executive Producers for Season 27 are JR Mortimer (writer) and Matt Beale (Beale11 on YouTube). Matt has taken up the role of Executive Producer because of developments with voices and characters on the series.

After a lot of thinking, I can pretty much confirm that the series will NOT be voiced and will use words on the screen. This is NOT a final decision, but it's very likely that the series will not use voices and will use words. Matt's original cast position was as the voice of Michael Davies, and so instead of voicing him, Matt has become an Exec Producer for the series.

No scripts have been written in addition to 1, 4 and 6 as yet, but the ep 5 script and the ep 7 script, as well as the ep 2 script, are in production.

More companions/titles will be announced soon.

Companions & Guest Characters

I can finally reveal some details on companions in Season 27 and Guest Characters. One Guest Character will be appearing in Episode 6 (currently untitled). This character will be Evelyn Smythe, a companion for the 6th Doctor created by Big Finish Productions for Audio Adventures. She also starred in the BBCi Webcast "Real Time".

I can also reveal that the main companion and starring in all 13 episodes is Michael Davies. Michael Davies is an alien living on Earth and is 14 years old when he joins The Doctor. He will remain with the Doctor throughout all 13 episodes. His mother, Calista Davies, will star in the first three episodes and will return in episode 8.

With two companions confirmed and one guest character, more details will be announced soon.

Title for Episode One!

I promised news at some point and here it is. The title for Episode One of the series has now been given as:

MAGNUS
by JR Mortimer

The script was written as part of the original plans for Season 27 and is likely to stay. This is NOT a confirmed title, but it's very likely that the script and title remains. When I annouce the companions for the series I will be announcing the name for Episode Two!

In other news, I'll be writing more scripts over the next two weeks and will hopefully have the Episode 6 script completed soon!

Series Developments

I can confirm that the script for "The Third Day" is underway and the following episode is also being scripted. Also, this blog now has multiple pages so will soon get detailed plots for each episode, as well as information on the companions and characters. The companions will be revealed at some point over the next two weeks, and episode details will come out in the next two weeks and afterwards.

One thing that is definitely happening and that I can announce is that "The Third Day" is moving. It was previously Episode 5 and it's now Episode 4 (due to changes with the new Episode 5 script).

You can contact me on Twitter @eternals_tweets at any time and I'll try and reply. Also, hints for the series are reguarly released on my Twitter account. More updates will be on this blog and that account very soon!

First Bit of News!

This blog sees the first bit of OFFICIAL news announced since I annouced the project on Saturday. First of all, an explanation of some of the hints I left on twitter (@eternals_tweets) before Saturday.

THIRTEEN: Thirteen Episodes
ALISON: Come on, it can't be that difficult to guess
NUMB: Oh that's a good hint... and I won't explain it until you see episodes *cough* and *cough*
DAMAGE: Oh and I know this one (after forgetting what it meant). It's related to "Numb"

And now for the first bit of news! There are thirteen episodes in the series, split into two halves. The first half "First Generation" has 7 episodes, with "Second Generation" having 6. Episode 5 of the series, that's Episode 5 of First Generation, is called....

THE THIRD DAY
by JR Mortimer

It's an amazing storyline (if I say so myself) for The Third Day and shows key moments in the nature of the series, but also in the relationship between Doctor and Companion(s). I'll fully announce the companions and who they are some time next week.
